1. What is a "wrap"?

A: A wrap is a vinyl adhesive film that is applied over the surface of the car. Think of it like a giant sticker. It allows complete customization of your car's appearance without any life-long commitment because it is semi-permanent.

 

2. How long does it last?

A: The typical lifespan for a wrap varies from about 3-7 years depending on usage and care. Wraps are easily removable if and when you decide you're ready for a change. Because the wrap lays over your existing surface/paint, you can go back to your original look at any time.

3. Do you Dip cars? Why should I consider a wrap?

A: We do not Dip cars. Although we feel PlastiDip serves a purpose for small trim and accent customization, the finished product of a car that has been fully "dipped" opposed to wrapped is just not comparable. Vehicle wrap guarantees an even finish and complete coverage while also providing a protective barrier over the vehicle's paint. A wrap offers complete customization of your vehicle limited only by your imagination.

4. How much does it cost?

A: The cost of a wrap depends on several factors such as the type of wrap you choose, vehicle type, vehicle size, current vehicle condition, etc. For a complete color change wrap the cost can range anywhere from $1500 to $5000+; the average cost for a full color change wrap ranges from $2,000-$3,000, but every job is as unique as the car itself. CCW requires a non-refundable deposit prior to ordering material. 5. How long does it take?

A:  Just like the cost, the time it takes to install a wrap varies and depends on the same factors that impact the cost. Charlotte Custom Wraps prides ourselves on delivering quality wraps quickly and our typical turnaround time is 3-5 days from drop off

6. What is blemish repair?

A: While it's possible to wrap over imperfections in your car's paint (rock chips, scratches, general road rash/wear and tear), depending on the severity of the damage, it may still be visible under the wrap.  CCW is the only shop in Charlotte that offers additional blemish repair services to minimize the appearance of pre-existing damage after the wrap is complete. This is not required in all scenarios and is up to the customer whether they want this service included

7. What does your warranty cover?

A:  CCW offers a 6 month warranty on wraps covering any material failure or defect from installation. The warranty does not cover damage from negligence, lack of maintenance or normal wear and tear.

8. Why does your phone ask for my name when I call you?

A: We use Google Voice as our primary phone service. This allows us to receive calls from customers no matter where we are, even when we aren't in the shop. The system asks you to record your voice before it connects your call which also helps weed out robo-calls from getting through to us.
